I discovered my passion for design in (of all places) middle school class presentations. Something about having the best looking slide deck in the class gave me more confidence in my speech, regardless if I knew what I was talking about or not. I found that how you display information greatly affects a user or viewer's comprehension (but middle school me only understood the higher grades I received).

Entering university, I began to appreciate the effect that designs had on people's perception of products. In parallel to how I received higher grades for prettier presentations, products that focus on how users interact with the platform more often receive praise for their clarity and insights.

At UC Davis, I began design products with a priority on the user experience. The goal? Design user solutions, not just products.

In this leg of my journey, I take on the role of the Figma Campus Leader at UC Davis, empowering everyone with the power to design.
